Animal Husbandry Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal issues directions to formulate policy to engage maximum youth towards livestock farming

CHANDIGARH/SAS NAGAR:Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has issued directions to the officers of the department to attract the youth of the state towards the allied livestock farming sector. He asked the officers to frame a policy at the earliest to engage the youth with livestock farming so that more and more youngsters could start their own business. Expressing deep concern during the first meeting with the officials at the headquarters of the Animal Husbandry Department here today, he said that due to high cost of fodder, feed and medicines, the livestock farming is no more profitable.

CHANDIGARH:On the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Mr.Charanjit Singh Channi, Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development on Wednesday conducteda surprise checking in departments of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development situated at Livestock Complex, Sector 68, Mohali. Directors of allthree departments including Dr. H.S Kahlon, Director, Animal Husbandry Department accompanied Mr. Janjua during the surprise checking.

Sanjeev Khosla is Director Animal Husbandry Punjab

MOHALI: Dr Sanjeev Khosla , here today at Livestock Complex in sector 68, took over the charge of Director, animal husbandry Punjab. The orders of regular appointment were issued on 19th April by the Additional Chief Secretary Sh V K Janjua, following approval of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Sh Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa Animal Husbandry Minister.

CHANDIGARH / SAS NAGAR:The Punjab Government has recruited 117 Veterinary Officers in the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department of the state under the door-to-door employment program. Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister handed over appointment letters to the newly appointed Veterinary Officers at Live Stock Bhawan here today.

Dr. Gurpal Singh Walia appointed as Director, Punjab Animal Husbandry Department

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab Government has appointed Dr. Gurpal Singh Walia as Director of the Punjab Animal Husbandry Department. He assumed charge today at Livestock Bhawan.
